The African Thought and Culture Society of Saint Joseph Major Seminary Celebrate the 2024/2025 Cultural Fiesta Titled: “AFRICAN CULTURE AS THE HOPE OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH: A Contextual Study of Pope Francis Speak Non Confudit (Hope Does Not Deceive).
The Celebration of the African rich Culture is annually celebrated as a Tradition of in Saint Joseph Major Seminary, ikot Ekpene. It is a medium for the Appropriation of our African identity and African reality; and as we know, reality is the the only thing that is real. The Seminary Celebrates her reality and rich heritage as past on by her ancestors.
The Seminary in her responsibility of training priests sees culture as an important part of the seminary experience. This celebrate is outlined to help students understand and engage with culture while ministering the gospel. The Seminary is increasingly diverse, and theological education must take context into account.
This celebration is based on the African way of life, which has been passed down through generations.
On this day, the Seminary opens her door to the Community, friends, and Alumni both far and near to join her in the celebration of her African Heritage.
