PALM (PASSION) SUNDAY CELEBRATION.

Mass was precided by one of Our Spiritual directoe Rev. Fr. Dr. Uzochukwu Njoku Jude.

Palm Sunday or as it’s now called, Passion Sunday, is the beginning of Holy Week, when we remember and celebrate the Triumphal ENTRY OF JESUS INTO JERUSALEM until we celebrate HIS RESURRECTION the following Sunday, EASTER SUNDAY.

At the Mass, the whole Passion of Jesus is read. We are reminded that we need to celebrate Jesus as did the crowds when He entered Jerusalem and we must follow Him as well.

The Palm Branch is a symbol of His victory, triumph, peace, and eternal life, originating in the Ancient Near East, and Mediterranean World.

The symbolism of the Palm originates way back as it was Sacred in Mesopotamian Regions and it represented immortality in Ancient Egypt
