Department of Philosophy

  • Affiliated with reputable universities, our philosophy department lays the groundwork for a deeper understanding of the divine faith inclined science of theology.

Department of Theology

Admission into St. Joseph Major Seminary

Admission into St. Joseph Major Seminary is a sacred journey mediated by various dioceses and congregations. To embark on this transformative path, candidates are required to:

  • Sit for the UTME organized by JAMB, satisfying NUC requirements for Nigerian universities.
  • Possess five (5) credit passes in SSCE (WAEC/NECO) or its equivalent, with credits in English, Mathematics and CRS

For those with a Diploma or Degree in Cognate disciplines, direct entry is available for admission into our philosophy program.

Numerically, St. Joseph Major Seminary hosts a diverse community of seminarians from nine Dioceses and 14 Religious Congregations. Our affiliation with various Dioceses ensures a broad and enriched cultural and spiritual experience for all.
